D’Driven Erasmus+ Project Successfully Transforms European Workplaces into Deaf-Friendly Environments
Date:10/2/2025
The successful completion of the D’Driven Erasmus+ Project marks a transformative moment in workplace inclusion, redefining accessibility standards for Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals across Europe. Over the past 28 months, this pioneering initiative has developed groundbreaking training programs, created an innovative e-learning platform, and fostered tangible policy changes that are already making a difference in the professional landscape.
Through the project’s comprehensive training efforts, over 75 employers have been equipped with the knowledge and tools necessary to create inclusive work environments. The introduction of a structured 75-hour training programme for employers and a 50-hour programme for DHH employees has ensured that all stakeholders receive targeted, impactful education. Employers have not only learned about the legal and ethical imperatives of inclusion but have also gained hands-on experience in fostering accessible workplaces through interactive role-playing and real-world case studies.
One of the most significant achievements of the D’Driven Project has been its commitment to sustainability and long-term impact. The networking opportunities provided through the project have been instrumental in connecting DHH job seekers with inclusive employers, creating lasting professional relationships and opening doors to new opportunities.
“The D’Driven Project has proven that true inclusivity is achievable when businesses, policymakers, and communities work together,” stated Christiana Tartiou. “We hope that the tools developed will continue to foster equal opportunities across industries, ensuring that DHH individuals are not just accommodated but truly empowered in the workplace.”
Although the official project period has ended, its impact will continue through the resources, training materials, and best practices made available via the D’Driven e-learning platform.
Organisations are encouraged to continue engaging with the platform, leveraging its tools to sustain and expand their efforts toward inclusivity.
